Aubameyang is finally a Barcelona player

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is finally a Barcelona player - two years after new boss Xavi warned them against the transfer.

The 32-year-old penned his deal at the Nou Camp only 48 hours after Arsenal cancelled his contract to enable him to sign on a free transfer.

Barcelona have been linked with Aubameyang several times over recent years.

And when speculation mounted over a move back in 2020, legendary midfielder and now current Barca boss told the LaLiga giants not to buy him.

Explaining why the Gabonese international would not be a good fit in Catalonia, he said: “(Sadio) Mane and Aubemayang can kill you in open space.

“But Barcelona need players who know how to move in small spaces.

“I am thinking about a player who would adapt to Barcelona and it’s not easy to find one.

“Samuel Eto’o was perfect as is Luis Suarez right now.”

"Isak to Arsenal?"

Arsenal target Alexander Isak was spotted in London - and fans are convinced he's on his way to the Emirates.

He was filmed at The Good Egg in Soho after arriving in London ahead of a potential move.

Accompanying the video, the social media clip read: "Isak to Arsenal??"

Other Arsenal fans tracked a car with a private number plate that has only just been registered to outside the Emirates.

Juventus launched a bid for Zakaria

Juventus have reportedly launched a bid for Man Utd target Denis Zakaria - and that could pave the way for Arsenal to finally land Arthur Melo.

Fabrizio Romano said: “Juventus are pushing to sign Denis Zakaria immediately.

"Talks ongoing with Borussia Moenchengladbach and Zakaria’s new agents in the last few hours.

"Meeting taking place now for Denis Zakaria-Juventus deal. Club confident to complete the agreement while Zakaria is keen on the move.

"Juve need at least one midfielder to leave in the next hours. Rodrigo Bentancur or Arthur Melo, as things stand."

Brighton to sell Bissouma

Premier League clubs have been put on red alert with Brighton reportedly willing to sell star midfielder Yves Bissouma this month.

The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa are all believed to be admirers of the Mali international.

And according to The Times, the Seagulls are ready to cash in on the 25-year-old.

Valued at around £50million, Bissouma has just 18 months left on his contract at the Amex Stadium.

The south coast outfit know that they may not be able to fetch that price in the summer when he enters his last year of his deal.

Leno remain at the Emirates

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno will reportedly remain at the Emirates this month.

The German shot-stopper has been linked with a move to Newcastle with Aaron Ramsdale the No1 choice in North London.

But Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg has declared that he will be staying until at least the summer.

He tweeted: He [Leno] won’t leave @Arsenal in winter, decision confirmed.

“A transfer in summer is more likely. #NUFC still with good chances if they stay in the PL.”

Arsenal keep pushing for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal are continuing their bid to sign Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic in January.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Gunners will keep pushing on for Vlahovic.

But this promises to be a ‘delicate situation’ for the north Londoners as the transfer window shuts in just over a week.

The centre-forward has also been linked with Juventus, Tottenham and Newcastle.

EPL EPL FT: Arsenal 0-0 Burnley

Arsenal and Burnley finished goalless in their Premier League clash at the Emirates.

That means the Gunners are still without a win in 2022 as they lost to Manchester City in the Prem, got eliminated from the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after drawing the first and losing the second leg in the semi-finals against Liverpool.

The north Londoners are sixth in the Premier League table with two points separating them from the top four.

The Clarets, on the other hand, are bottom of the table.
