Marco Silva insisted Fabio Carvalho's failed deadline day move
Fulham boss Marco Silva has insisted Fabio Carvalho's failed deadline day move to Liverpool has not affected the youngster.
The two clubs agreed an £8m fee but couldn't get the required paperwork over the line in time.
As a result Carvalho remains a Fulham player, and Silva revealed: "But what I said was Fabio would stay until the end of the season.
"That was our decision, we could control that. That's the reality with that.
"Fabio’s happy here. The day after I saw him with the same smile."
Liverpool's enquiry for whizkid Fabio Carvalho
Liverpool made an enquiry for whizkid Fabio Carvalho - but were told Fulham do not want to sell.
The Reds are one of a number of clubs keen on the 19-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer.
Yet Championship leaders Fulham do not want to let the teen sensation go this month and are desperate to keep hold of him.
They see him as a key part of their promotion push and it would take an offer they could not turn down to sell him now.
Loan offer for Anthony Knockaert
Fulham have received a loan offer from Italian side Como for forgotten man Anthony Knockaert.
The Frenchman, 30, has not started a single league game this term and been restricted to just 181 minutes of action in all competitions for the Championship leaders.
Serie B outfit Como would like to borrow the ex-Leicester winger until the end of the season.
Knockaert helped the Cottagers win promotion to the Premier League two years ago after joining on loan from Brighton.
But he has barely featured since turning the move permanent in the summer of 2020 for around £10million and spent last term on loan at Nottingham Forest.
