One fan FOUR CHAIRS at the Emirates

Football fans have been sent into a meltdown after Arsenal legend Alan Smith was bizarrely snapped sitting on FOUR CHAIRS at the Emirates.

The Gunners icon, 59, was on on Sky Sports commentary duty for the club's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg clash against Liverpool in North London.

And Smith has baffled Twitter users after he was caught on camera sitting on a huge pile of chairs while watching on from the gantry.

Athletic journalist Adam Hurrey posted a picture of the two-time First Division champion, where he said: "You may have detected this from his co-commentary already.

"But I can exclusively reveal that Sky's Alan Smith is sitting on *at least four chairs* at once at the Emirates."

Supporters couldn't believe what they were seeing, as one commented: "I have never seen those chairs outside of school."

Another quipped: "All those comfy seats in the Emirates and he’s sat on 4 plastic chairs."

A third joked: "Looks like he's had his booster."

Ashburton Grove is another one of the newest stadiums in the League having opened in 2006. Known as “Emirates Stadium” after a £200m deal including shirt and stadium naming rights. After moving to the new stadium from their old, they’ve begun a process they call “Arsenalization” to make it seem more formidable and more like the old stadium.
