Ronaldo could jump ship just one year

Cristiano Ronaldo could QUIT Manchester United this summer as he waits to see who will be the club’s next manager.

ESPN claims Ronaldo could jump ship just one year after returning to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, who turns 37 on Saturday, is now going to consider his options ahead of the next transfer window.

But he will hold off from making a definitive decision until United confirm their next permanent manager.

Ronaldo will have just one year left on his contract this summer.

And it’s reckoned he would have offers from numerous MLS and Middle Eastern sides.

Cristiano Ronaldo makes Manchester United decision

Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly make a decision on his Manchester United future when the next permanent manager is appointed in the summer.

According to ESPN, CR7 will wait and see who comes through the door before deciding whether or not to stay at the club.

The 36-year-old signed a two-year deal when emotionally returning from Juventus last summer, but could jump ship before seeing out his contract if he doesn’t like who the club appoint.

Fabio Cannavaro has revealed he came within a whisker of joining Chelsea - before choosing Real Madrid instead.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the 48-year-old explained: "I was close to signing when I was at Juventus [in 2006].

“A friend of mine called me and asked me if I would go to Chelsea and I knew they were interested.

"But in the end I moved to Madrid and of course Fabio Capello was there."

Juventus launched a bid for Zakaria

Juventus have reportedly launched a bid for Man Utd target Denis Zakaria - and that could pave the way for Arsenal to finally land Arthur Melo.

Fabrizio Romano said: “Juventus are pushing to sign Denis Zakaria immediately.

"Talks ongoing with Borussia Moenchengladbach and Zakaria’s new agents in the last few hours.

"Meeting taking place now for Denis Zakaria-Juventus deal. Club confident to complete the agreement while Zakaria is keen on the move.

"Juve need at least one midfielder to leave in the next hours. Rodrigo Bentancur or Arthur Melo, as things stand."

Buffon: Juve ‘lost their DNA’ with Ronaldo

Buffon: Juve ‘lost their DNA’ with Ronaldo

Gianluigi Buffon blames Cristiano Ronaldo for Juventus ‘losing their DNA’ and team ethic.

Legendary keep Buffon claims the Italian champs were no longer a squad pulling tougher and fighting for their places during Ron’s 2018-21 stint.

Ronaldo is now back at Manchester United, still firing in the goals at 36 but sparking questions over his suitability to team tactics.

And the Azzurri’s 176-cap icon Buffon, 43, now with Parma, told TUDN : “Juventus had the chance to win the Champions League the first year he arrived, which was the year I was at Paris Saint-Germain, and I couldn’t figure out what happened.

“When I returned, I worked with Ronaldo for two years and we did well together, but I think Juventus lost that DNA of being a team.

“We reached the Champions League final in 2017 because we were a side full of experience.

“But above all we were a single unit and there was this competition for places within the group that was very strong. We lost that with Ronaldo.”
