Erling Haaland should shun Man United

Ruud Gullit reckons Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland should shun Man United and join their Prem rivals Man City or Liverpool.

Gullit thinks the Norwegian will grow at City under the club’s boss Pep Guardiola.

And he also believes Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be good for Haaland’s career development.

Gullit told Bild: “I see him in England but I don’t think he goes to Manchester United.

“City would be good for him because of Pep Guardiola. But Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool would also be great.”

Man United vs Liverpool in a pre-season friendly

Man United are reportedly set to take on arch-rivals Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in the Far East.

The Times claims Thailand’s capital Bangkok could be the venue for July’s match.

United and Liverpool were hoping to face each other in last year’s pre-season.

But they scrapped plans following fan protests at Old Trafford which led to the postponement of their Premier League game.

However, club chiefs on both sides are keen for the two sides to face each other in front of a bumper audience on the other side of the world.

Bukayo linked with a move to Liverpool

Bukayo Saka's excellent form has not gone unnoticed.  The starlet has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks, and now another contender has emerged for his signature.

ESPN claim Manchester City are 'watching' the 20-year-olds progress, with a view to possibly making a move for his signature.

Arsenal will be desperate not to lose one of their key players, especially to a direct rival.

The Gunners are lining up a contract extension for the England star in the summer, but if they fail to qualify for the Champions League City are claimed to be ready to pounce.

Brighton to sell Bissouma

Premier League clubs have been put on red alert with Brighton reportedly willing to sell star midfielder Yves Bissouma this month.

The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa are all believed to be admirers of the Mali international.

And according to The Times, the Seagulls are ready to cash in on the 25-year-old.

Valued at around £50million, Bissouma has just 18 months left on his contract at the Amex Stadium.

The south coast outfit know that they may not be able to fetch that price in the summer when he enters his last year of his deal.

Liverpool's enquiry for whizkid Fabio Carvalho

Liverpool made an enquiry for whizkid Fabio Carvalho - but were told Fulham do not want to sell.

The Reds are one of a number of clubs keen on the 19-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer.

Yet Championship leaders Fulham do not want to let the teen sensation go this month and are desperate to keep hold of him.

They see him as a key part of their promotion push and it would take an offer they could not turn down to sell him now.

Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino to leave Liverpool before the window closes?

Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino will reportedly be allowed to leave Liverpool before the window closes.

According to the Athletic, the Reds are ready to sell the pair as they close in on the signing of Porto star Luis Diaz.

Both players are claimed to have been deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield.

Boss Jurgen Klopp will have Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Diaz to count on once the Africa Cup of Nations ends.

Jurgen Klopp had his goalkeeper Alisson to thank

Jurgen Klopp had his goalkeeper Alisson to thank for 'saving' his 'an embarrassment' in Liverpool's hard-fought win at Crystal Palace.

Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners at Selhurst Park, but the scoreline could have been different had it not been for Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson

The home side called him into action on a number of occasions, but he was more than up to the challenge to deny Jean-Philippe Mateta, Odsonne Edouard and Michael Olise in particular.

And reacting to Alisson's heroics, Klopp told Sky Sports: "I said to him just now, 'Thank you for saving our a**e again'.

"He said, 'That’s my job'. Of course it is very helpful to have a world-class goalkeeper at the back!"

The 29-year-old was beaten once by Edouard, but there was nothing Alisson could do about that as Mateta squared to the Frenchman to tap into an empty net.

That goal denied Alisson an 11th Premier League clean-sheet in just 20 games this season.

The Reds' second goalscorer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also singled out Alisson for praise, saying Liverpool 'haven't got anyone' they would rather than the Brazil international.
