Erling Haaland should shun Man United

Ruud Gullit reckons Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland should shun Man United and join their Prem rivals Man City or Liverpool.

Gullit thinks the Norwegian will grow at City under the club’s boss Pep Guardiola.

And he also believes Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be good for Haaland’s career development.

Gullit told Bild: “I see him in England but I don’t think he goes to Manchester United.

“City would be good for him because of Pep Guardiola. But Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool would also be great.”

Vlahovic handed Cristiano Ronaldo’s old No7

Dusan Vlahovic has been handed Cristiano Ronaldo’s old No7 shirt at Juventus.

That’s after moving into the Manchester United star’s stunning former Turin mansion.

Vlahovic rejected interest from Arsenal to seal a £62million transfer to Juventus from Fiorentina last week.

Serbia international Vlahovic has already been given the keys to Ronnie’s old pad, which is a luxury hilltop mansion complete with an indoor swimming and Spiderman wallpaper.

But Juventus have gone a step further to indicate their trust in Vlahovic by giving him the iconic No7 jersey vacated by Ronaldo.

Why Jesse Lingard wasn't allowed to leave

Man Utd interim boss Ralf Rangnick has detailed exactly why Jesse Lingard wasn't allowed to leave the club in the summer.

Ahead of tomorrow night's FA Cup clash against Middlesbrough, Ragnick confirmed he was originally allowed to leave, but 'developments' due to the Mason Greenwood situation changed that.

Rangnick also revealed Lingard will not be part of the squad tomorrow after asking for some time off 'to clear his head'.

The German said: "Three weeks ago Jesse didn't want to leave and then he changed his mind.

"I said at the time, if he finds a club and a solution that suits us, we would allow him to leave. With the developments in the last couple of days, things changed.

"On Monday afternoon, the board said they wanted him to stay. We are without a player who has played regularly and also we couldn't get an agreement for any other club."

Declan prefers Roy Keane over Patrick Vieira

West Ham star Declan Rice has revealed that he prefers Roy Keane over Patrick Vieira as a football player.

Ex-Man United ace Keane and former Arsenal midfielder Vieira were sworn enemies on the pitch.

But Rice admitted that Keane was the one that he watched more out of the pair when he was growing up.

When asked by Gary Neville who his favourite was on the Overlap show, Rice said: “I just feel like I’ve probably watched him more as a player.

“Even though I was a kid when he was playing or coming towards the end of his career in terms of clips, how he played and what he was like as a captain.”

Man United vs Liverpool in a pre-season friendly

Man United are reportedly set to take on arch-rivals Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in the Far East.

The Times claims Thailand’s capital Bangkok could be the venue for July’s match.

United and Liverpool were hoping to face each other in last year’s pre-season.

But they scrapped plans following fan protests at Old Trafford which led to the postponement of their Premier League game.

However, club chiefs on both sides are keen for the two sides to face each other in front of a bumper audience on the other side of the world.

Ronaldo could jump ship just one year

Cristiano Ronaldo could QUIT Manchester United this summer as he waits to see who will be the club’s next manager.

ESPN claims Ronaldo could jump ship just one year after returning to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, who turns 37 on Saturday, is now going to consider his options ahead of the next transfer window.

But he will hold off from making a definitive decision until United confirm their next permanent manager.

Ronaldo will have just one year left on his contract this summer.

And it’s reckoned he would have offers from numerous MLS and Middle Eastern sides.

Cristiano Ronaldo makes Manchester United decision

Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly make a decision on his Manchester United future when the next permanent manager is appointed in the summer.

According to ESPN, CR7 will wait and see who comes through the door before deciding whether or not to stay at the club.

The 36-year-old signed a two-year deal when emotionally returning from Juventus last summer, but could jump ship before seeing out his contract if he doesn’t like who the club appoint.

Van De Beek wanted at Selhurst Park choosed Merseyside instead

Frank Lampard is said to have ‘personally phoned’ loan signing Donny van de Beek to convince him to choose Everton over Crystal Palace as his Old Trafford escape route.

Lamps has just taken over in the Goodison Park hotseat and will start his tenure with Man United’s out-of-favour midfielder in his squad for the rest of the season.

Van De Beek was wanted at Selhurst Park before deciding to make the switch to Merseyside instead.

And reports in the player’s native Netherlands suggest Lampard’s personal involvement in the deal is what clinched it for him.

The new Toffees boss is said to have called Van De Beek directly to tell him of his plans, which were enough to convince him to make the move down the M62.

Tottenham will make a move for Man United ace Jesse Lingard in the summer.

That’s the opinion of transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who reckons Spurs will rival West Ham for the winger at the end of the season.

Romano told United legend Rio Ferdinand on his FIVE podcast: “He’s going to leave as a free agent and I think that West Ham will come back for him, that Tottenham will be in for him in the summer.

“So a lot of opportunities, he will take his time. But Lingard will leave as a free agent.”

Declan Rice to leave West Ham

Declan Rice is almost certain to leave and West Ham seem to have 'given up' on finishing in the top four this season.

That's the damning verdict of ex-Aston Villa and England star Gabby Agbonlahor.

Man United have a long-held interest in Hammers skipper Rice, who has made his name as regular for his country in recent years.

And Agbonlahor - now working as a TalkSPORT pundit - reckons the lure of Champions League football is going to be too much for Rice to turn down after West Ham failed to bring in reinforcements this winter.

He said: “Spurs aren’t the finished article, Arsenal have lost players, they’re looking a bit shaky. Manchester United have let players go and looking a bit shaky as well.

“It was the perfect time for West Ham to finally push that little bit more with a few more players. A defender, a midfielder and striker to go and get top four.

“As much as people might think players are loyal and love it here. Declan Rice, like I said a few months ago, will see his England teammates play in the Champions League and might be playing Champions League finals this season.

“How long is that going to go on where he’s going to be happy with the Europa League.

“I think Declan Rice will be looking to go in the summer.”

United asked wantaway Pogba to delay decision on future

Man United have reportedly asked wantaway stars such as Paul Pogba to delay the decision on their future until the club pick a permanent manager.

Pogba's deal at Old Trafford is due to expire in June and he is free to negotiate terms with foreign clubs.

Should the Frenchman walk away from Old Trafford for free, it will be for the second time in his United career.

But according to ESPN, the Red Devils are hoping that their next managerial appointment can help convince big stars like Pogba to stay and renew their contract.

Current boss Ralf Rangnick is in temporary charge until the end of the season, when United hope to bring in someone of the calibre of Mauricio Pochettino to replace him.

FA enhanced maternity, injury, sickness pay

Emma Hayes believes player contract reforms introduced to women’s professional football in England should be replicated worldwide.

The Chelsea chief was speaking after the FA unveiled enhanced maternity, injury and sickness pay for pro players.

Hayes, whose side face Man United in the Conti Cup semi-finals, told Sky Sports: “This has been massively needed and it's another step in the right direction.

“We've got so much catching up to do in our game whether that be about the opportunity whether that be about provision behind the scenes.

“This is needed across the global game. Not just in England

“I think Fifpro are trying to put in place basic standards, basic minimums across the globe to protect the rights of women in football.”

Micah Richards ready to join Sunderland

Micah Richards joked he has packed his bags ready to join pal Roy Keane at Sunderland.

Keane has reportedly been approached by the Black Cats over an interview for the vacant manager's job.

And his fellow Sky Sports pundit quickly quipped he would be following the ex-Manchester United captain to the Stadium of Light.

Richards shared a tweet asking if Richards could be Keane's new No2, he quoted transfer guru Fabrizio Romano's phrase whenever a deal is getting done, then tagged the Italian journalist.

Richards wrote: "Here we go @FabrizioRomano.

"I have my stuff packed 👔🎒👜💼⚽️🏆🔜"

Phil Jones to replace the exiled Laurent Koscienly

Man Utd defender Phil Jones is being lined up by Bordeaux to replace the exiled Laurent Koscienly, reports suggest.

The 36-year-old veteran, who spent nine years at Arsenal before joining Bordeaux in 2019, has found himself out in the cold at the French side.

And now the Ligue 1 outfit have identified Koscienly's former rival and United stalwart Jones as his replacement, according to L'Equipe.

But according to L'Equipe, Jones is being chased by the French club.

The two clubs are currently in talks over a potential deal.
