Aubameyang is finally a Barcelona player

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is finally a Barcelona player - two years after new boss Xavi warned them against the transfer.

The 32-year-old penned his deal at the Nou Camp only 48 hours after Arsenal cancelled his contract to enable him to sign on a free transfer.

Barcelona have been linked with Aubameyang several times over recent years.

And when speculation mounted over a move back in 2020, legendary midfielder and now current Barca boss told the LaLiga giants not to buy him.

Explaining why the Gabonese international would not be a good fit in Catalonia, he said: “(Sadio) Mane and Aubemayang can kill you in open space.

“But Barcelona need players who know how to move in small spaces.

“I am thinking about a player who would adapt to Barcelona and it’s not easy to find one.

“Samuel Eto’o was perfect as is Luis Suarez right now.”

United asked wantaway Pogba to delay decision on future

Man United have reportedly asked wantaway stars such as Paul Pogba to delay the decision on their future until the club pick a permanent manager.

Pogba's deal at Old Trafford is due to expire in June and he is free to negotiate terms with foreign clubs.

Should the Frenchman walk away from Old Trafford for free, it will be for the second time in his United career.

But according to ESPN, the Red Devils are hoping that their next managerial appointment can help convince big stars like Pogba to stay and renew their contract.

Current boss Ralf Rangnick is in temporary charge until the end of the season, when United hope to bring in someone of the calibre of Mauricio Pochettino to replace him.

He revealed to Bild: "No one has ever approached me from the club. So you have to see what the future will bring."

In the event Muller does leave Bayern he wouldn't be short of suitors, with the likes of mega-rich Newcastle and Everton taking interest in his situation.

Hayes, whose side face Man United in the Conti Cup semi-finals, told Sky Sports: “This has been massively needed and it's another step in the right direction.

“We've got so much catching up to do in our game whether that be about the opportunity whether that be about provision behind the scenes.

“This is needed across the global game. Not just in England

“I think Fifpro are trying to put in place basic standards, basic minimums across the globe to protect the rights of women in football.”
